How your data is handled

Emily

When Emily asked what Judjit stores, here's the honest answer.

Browser extension data

When you use the Judjit browser extension on supported job sites, the extension reads the visible job-post content needed to generate a verdict, such as the role title, company, location, and description text shown on the page. That content is sent to Judjit's backend for analysis and may be forwarded to the configured AI provider to produce the result.

The extension also stores a small amount of data locally in your browser, including your Judjit profile token, whether auto-analysis is enabled, the selected app base URL, and past verdicts used to power the popup. This local extension storage stays on your device unless you clear it or remove the extension.

Judjit does not use the extension to watch unrelated browsing. The extension only reads supported job pages or the text you explicitly select when you ask it to judge a role.

Job descriptions and uploaded CVs

When you paste a job description, upload a job spec, or submit a CV for profile generation, the content is transmitted to the Claude API (Anthropic) for analysis. Judjit does not keep a permanent copy of raw job descriptions by default; they are processed for the response and then discarded unless your hosting platform keeps short operational logs for security or reliability.

CV uploads are different. If you save a hosted Judjit profile, Judjit may store the original CV text alongside the structured profile so it can refresh your ready-to-judge profile later without asking for the CV again every time.

Generated profiles and storage

If you use profile creation, the structured profile generated from your CV may be kept either as a browser draft or saved to the configured profile store so it can be reused for future JD checks and extension analysis.

Hosted profiles are private by default. When a hosted profile is saved, Judjit may store your structured profile, contact email, slug, match fingerprint/classification data, and the raw CV text used to build that profile. That raw CV is retained while the hosted profile exists, may be replaced when you upload a newer CV, and is removed when the hosted profile is deleted.

Judjit can also keep a browser draft or convenience copy on your current device so the profile loads faster. That local copy is separate from the hosted account record and stays on the device until you remove it or clear browser storage.

No ad tracking

Judjit does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. Basic operational logs may still be generated by your hosting platform, API provider, or storage provider for reliability and abuse prevention.

Judjit does not sell your data and does not use extension activity to build advertising profiles.

Support and deletion requests

You can delete your hosted Judjit account from profile settings. That removes the hosted profile record, any stored raw CV linked to it, and the associated Judjit sign-in for that account.

Deleting the hosted account does not automatically clear browser drafts, local browser copies, or extension storage on other devices. Those remain on the device until you remove them there.

If you cannot access the account yourself or want to ask about retained data, email marwanes90@gmail.com. Requests are handled manually and used only to respond to your privacy enquiry.

Who we are (controller)

Judjit is the data controller for personal data collected through this service. For privacy enquiries, contact us at marwanes90@gmail.com.

Lawful basis for processing

For anonymous verdict use (pasting a job description without saving a profile), we process data on the basis of legitimate interest — providing the requested verdict and preventing abuse. No personal data is stored for this use case.

For saved profiles, we process data on the basis of contract performance— storing your profile is necessary to provide the reusable profile service you have requested.

Shared verdict pages

When you share a verdict, a page at judjit.com/v/[your-slug]/[verdict-id] becomes accessible to anyone with the link. It shows your name, the role title, your fit score, and the verdict analysis.

These pages are marked noindex so search engines do not index them. They are unlisted — accessible by direct link only, not discoverable via search.

To remove a shared verdict page, delete your profile from profile settings. That removes the underlying data and the page will return a 404.

Your rights

Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data. You can do this directly from your profile settings, or by emailing us.
  • Restriction — ask us to restrict processing of your data while a dispute is resolved.
  • Portability — request your structured profile data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.

To exercise any of these rights, email marwanes90@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe your data has been handled unlawfully. In France, this is the CNIL.

Third-party services

This site uses the Anthropic Claude API for AI analysis. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how API inputs are handled on their side. Judjit uses Supabase for hosted profile storage and account auth, and is typically hosted on Vercel, whose infrastructure privacy policy applies.
